Dr Haroon Latif

ASPIRE President

Dear Colleagues and Friends,

It is my great privilege to extend a warm invitation to all of you to join us for the 16th ASPIRE Congress, taking place in the beautiful city of Yokohama, Japan, from 6 – 9 May 2027.

We come to Yokohama on the back of an extraordinary congress in Beijing, where we welcomed delegates from over 60 countries and witnessed first-hand the depth, energy, and diversity of our field across the Asia-Pacific and beyond. That success was a powerful reminder of what ASPIRE represents, a community united by a shared commitment to advancing reproductive care for the patients we serve. We now look forward to building on that momentum and to welcoming an even broader gathering of delegates from across the APAC region and far beyond its borders.

This year’s theme, “Zen and Innovation: Harmony in Reproductive Medicine,” could not be more fitting for our host nation. Japan stands among the world’s leaders in ART. As our field accelerates through AI, genomics, and new frontiers in fertility preservation, this theme asks us to pause and reflect on how we integrate progress with wisdom, precision with humanity.

Our scientific programme will reflect that same spirit: cutting-edge and multidisciplinary, with sessions designed to engage clinicians, embryologists, scientists, nurses and counsellors alike. We strongly encourage you to submit your research and join the conversation that will shape the next era of our specialty.

Perhaps most special of all, as we approach the 50th anniversary of assisted reproduction, we are honoured to welcome Louise Brown, the world’s first IVF baby to ASPIRE 2027. This is a rare and moving opportunity for our delegates to meet her in person and hear in her own words, the journey that began with a single breakthrough and has since given millions of families around the world the gift of a child.

On behalf of ASPIRE, I look forward to welcoming you all to Yokohama in May 2027, as we celebrate our community, our science, and the remarkable progress of the last half-century in reproductive medicine.

Dr Clare Boothroyd

Chairman, ASPIRE 2027
Scientific Committee

Dear Colleagues,

On behalf of the Scientific Organizing Committee, I look forward to welcoming you to another sensational ASPIRE meeting in Yokohama. The scientific programme has something for all our members with eight keynote speakers. There will be sessions on hot topics like use of artificial intelligence, recent advances in male infertility, new innovations in the IVF laboratory, integrating psychosocial care into your practice and the use of stem cells. There will be clinical and scientific case discussions, debates, “how to” sessions led by regional and international experts. For free communications there are a number of prizes and rapid-fire sessions for the best posters. We will be trialing an evening poster discussion with refreshments led by our country representatives so all poster presentations will have an opportunity to present their work and answer questions.

Mark your diaries now and register for the best conference in reproductive care available to you, in beautiful Yokohama from 6 – 9 May 2027.
